Colorado Concept Electrical + Lighting was founded in 1983 by Daniel McCord—a master electrician, lighting designer, and electrical engineer—along with his wife, Nancy. Here’s our story…
After Daniel was involved in lighting some of the biggest concerts throughout the world in the 1970s (Pink Floyd being one of his favorites, and one of the inspirations for our new logo), he decided to bring his expertise and eye for lighting to the residential sphere. In the early days of Colorado Concept, he focused on art lighting in particular. However, it didn’t take long for Daniel to recognize that proper lighting began with quality electrical work. After expanding into the full range of electrical services, Daniel and Nancy have continued to keep Colorado Concept at the cutting edge of the industry, including in control systems and green tech.
Though a small business, Colorado Concept has done projects of every conceivable size and scope. From simply installing a single fixture, to remodeling a kitchen, to doing the electrical and lighting on a 55,000 square foot house built from the ground up, our experience is unparalleled. And based on the numerous jobs we have taken on to fix problems caused by inexperienced electricians, we understand the importance and value of having your project done correctly and safely the first time.
